Where are you now?
I am currently attending The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. I am majoring in Political Science with a minor in History and Women’s studies with plans to attend law school when I graduate. I am also captain of the mock trial team here at UTC.
How, if at all, did the Empire help you get there?
Empire helped prepare me for college in every way possible. I met so many people from all around the world as well so many different kinds of people. It also was the closest thing to college mock trial there was for me. Honestly, the competition there was probably harder than anything I’ve experienced in college.
What’s your favorite Empire moment?
I have so many favorite Empire moments. But my favorite Empire moment was probably winning the New York’s Finest Best Witness award in 2010. I honestly wasn’t even hardly paying attention (mainly because I had the flu), and when I heard my name called for 1st place…it was something I’ll never forget.
How would you describe the Empire to someone that has never been?
Empire was the highlight of my high school years. Besides the fact that it is held in NYC which makes it incredible to begin with, the competition, the atmosphere, everything about Empire is electrifying. From the opening ceremonies to the final awards, there is never a dull moment. It IS the best mock trial tournament I’ve ever attended.
