Washington, DC

Camila lived in Cuba until 2004, when she moved to the United States. She attended Florida International University on a Bright Futures Scholarship, and graduated cum laude in 2012.  She recently completed the first-year coursework at the University Of Miami School Of Law where she was a James Weldon Johnson/Robert H. Waters Fellow. She will be transferring to Georgetown University Law Center to continue pursuing her Juris Doctor (J.D.). She is currently a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Edwin G. Torres in the District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Camila is passionate about the legal profession and is interested in litigation generally. She has been involved with other non-profit organizations as a volunteer in the past and she took interest in volunteering for Empire after seeing Justin’s dedication to Empire and mock trial in general. She was especially fascinated by the passion shared by staff, volunteers and participants alike.
