Christian Mancino
Director of Tabulation
Christian Mancino’s journey with Empire Mock Trial began as a standout high school competitor, representing Niles West High School at Empire’s San Francisco, Atlanta, and New York programs. Since that wasn’t enough Empire for him, he helped develop the initial bid to bring Empire to his home city of Chicago! His early success on the mock trial stage evolved into a deeper commitment to the organization, as he went on to serve diligently as a high school intern—quickly becoming known for his attention to detail, integrity, and tireless work ethic.
Christian attended Furman University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Politics and International Affairs, as well as a minor in Data Analytics. While at university, he continued to be a driving force behind Empire’s growth and innovation, immersing himself in nearly every facet of the organization’s operations—from case writing and rules development to software support. During the pandemic, Christian emerged as a leader for Empire, helping sustain critical partnerships with educational programs across the country, from Ventura County, California to the commonwealth of Virginia — he’s even helped support a competition all the way across the pond in London!
Today, Christian serves as Empire’s Tabulation Director. He prides himself on his affable nature and collaborative spirit, while ensuring fairness and precision for teams in each of the tournaments he manages. Coaches, peers, and colleagues alike recognize him as articulate, thoughtful, and deeply committed to mock trial.
Christian’s exemplary performance and work ethic paved the way for his current role as a paralegal in the Restructuring Group at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Chicago. With aspirations to attend law school and practice law, Christian remains grounded in the values and experiences that shaped him. No matter how far his legal career takes him, he will always remember where it all started: Empire Mock Trial.
