Amber Rumancik
Special Consultant
Amber is a Special Consultant for Empire, advising the organization on everything from logistics to optimizing the team experience. She served as the organization’s Director of Competition Experience in 2018, leaving the role after her third child was born. But not even a newborn could keep her away–with little Lucas in her arms and Joe-Joe at her side, Amber and family played a starring role at Empire Atlanta in 2019!
Amber brings a wealth of experience in the practice of law, both mock and real, to her role as Special Consultant.
After graduating from law school (Go FSU!), Amber was a litigator for seven years at Foley & Lardner, LLP. She left the full-time practice of law in 2014 to focus on her children and her husband’s construction company, Sunshine Coast Construction, Inc. She currently serves as the company’s counsel.
As a teenager, Amber began to practice fake law. She competed for three years as a student at Fletcher High School. For the past decade, she has coached her alma mater high school as their attorney coach and now as head coach. In 2016, she attended her first ever Empire competition, serving as a judge at Empire Atlanta. She hasn’t missed a season since.
Outside of work and mock trial, you can find Amber trying to keep three children alive. A native of Atlantic Beach, Florida, she treasures being the full-time mother of three boys, Joe-Joe (who portrayed Timothy Tam in Empire’s 2019 case), Ty, and Lucas.
She brings a positive spirit and (much needed) maternal influence to the Empire Family.
