We’re Bringing the Courtroom to You
What started as a response to a global pandemic has transformed into an exciting new virtual arm of Empire Mock Trial, dedicated to implementing high quality educational programming by leveraging cutting edge technology, including Empire’s mock trial software PROcess. In the short term, our goal was/is to meet the needs of our students during the age of COVID-19. In the long run, however, we see Empire Online as a way to increase access to mock trial by providing a lower cost alternative to in-person programs.
Empire Online in 2024
When online mock trial first got its start, we developed two competition formats (Empire YOU & Empire ONE) to accommodate teams’ social distance preferences, while creating new trial customs for a new competition medium. With the world evolving, and with Zoom becoming ubiquitous, we’re evolving, too: Empire’s YOU and ONE formats are now guides for best practice in online court, rather than requirements for trial practice.
